Overnight Oats

Recipe by Jeanine Donofrio at Love and Lemons.

Prep time10 min
Total10 min
Servings1

Ingredients

  • ½ cup whole rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • ½ teaspoon maple syrup, plus more for serving
  • Pinch sea salt
  • ¼ cup whole milk Greek yogurt (optional)
  • ⅔ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • Toppings you like: berries, banana, peanut butter, nuts, granola

Steps

  1. Put the oats, chia seeds, maple syrup, salt, and yogurt (if using) in a jar with a lid.
  2. Pour in the almond milk and stir well, scraping the bottom so the chia doesn't clump.
  3. Close the jar and chill overnight.
  4. In the morning, add your toppings and a little more maple syrup.

Good to know

This is one serving. Multiply it by the number of mornings and line up the jars. The original also has four flavor ideas worth a look.

Pairs well with my Tzatziki Sauce.
