Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • ½ cup milk (any kind)
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or other sweetener (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Fruit and toppings: berries, mango, nut butter, coconut, nuts

Steps

  1. Stir the chia seeds and milk together in a small jar (add the maple syrup and vanilla if you like).
  2. Wait 15 minutes, then stir again so it sets evenly without lumps.
  3. Add fruit and toppings, put the lid on, and chill.

Good to know

This is one serving. Make a jar for each morning. For a chocolate version, the original stirs in 1 tablespoon cacao powder and 1 tablespoon maple syrup.
