Burgers & Tex-Mex near Zion

Rating: 5/5
Only 5 minutes from Zion (shuttle stop #5), Oscar’s is a must-try. I had the Murder Burger — a half-pound garlic burger with pepper jack, cheddar, bacon, and all the fixings — and it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, with great prices too. I also tried the pork enchiladas and they were fantastic. Service was friendly and fast. Definitely worth stopping.

About the place
Owner-operated cafe in Springdale, at the mouth of Zion National Park, open since 1991. It started as a small walk-up-and-order spot and grew into a full-service restaurant run by Hank and Kathy Moore, with a covered patio facing Zion's red rock peaks. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a mix of American and Mexican-inspired dishes: big half-pound garlic burgers like the Murder Burger, breakfast burritos, pancakes and omelets.
What other diners say: Reviewers on Tripadvisor often praise the generous portions, friendly service, breakfasts and patio views. Many say it's one of the better values in a pricey tourist town, while a few found certain dishes underwhelming.
